The groups featured on this web site are particularly involved with training, resources, networking and special events for persons engaged in Christian education in the local churches of the California-Pacific Annual Conference.
The Board of Christian Education is made up of members from each of the eight districts in the Conference, persons selected at-large by the Conference Nominations Committee, and leaders of special projects such as the A.L.I.V.E workshop program. It promotes and conducts leadership development and communications among Christian educators.
The Conference Council on Children's Ministries has a similar structure to that of the Board of Christian Education. It is charged with providing resources, training, networking and program ideas for children's workers as well as advocacy for children's interests.
The Child Care Directors' Committee is an auxiliary group to the Children's Council. Their work consists of providing a guidelines manual on administrative practice,
a directory of United Methodist Related centers, consulting service to start-up centers or for those facing problems, and .workshops that bring church leaders and center directors together on topics of mutual interest.
Christian Educators Fellowship, California-Pacific chapter, is a branch of the national organization associated with the General Board of Discipleship. The group provides fellowship opportunity among Christian Educators and performs practical service to the Board of Christian Education such as helping to organize and lead events, networking, and connecting with national resources.
